The Cuisinart Waffle Makers - A Leading Brand Among Its Peers
If you are thinking about shopping for a waffle maker you'll find that there are few several good brand names out there. And Cuisinart figures among one of them. In fact, Cuisinart - like the name says it well - specializes uniquely in making kitchen appliances of all kind. It goes from the food processors, juice extractors, coffee makers to electric knives, hand blenders and even ice cream and yogurt makers.
Brief History
It all started back in 1971 with founder and inventor Carl Sontheimer, when he first introduced his Food Processor. It became ever since, a leading brand through out North America in both United States and Canada.
The trademark is owned since 1989 by Conair Corporation, a multinational corporation established in 1959 selling small appliances.
So as you see, Cuisinart as been around for a while. And usually the customers reviews about their products are fairly good. And when it comes to waffler makers most customers are satisfied.
What People Say
Some of the few complaint that was reported had to do with the non-sticking coating of the waffle maker' plates. But one explanation may have to do with the recommendation Cuisinart is making about how to use their appliance. In one note, in some of their instructional manual, they say to use vegetable oil or cooking spray before each utilization. But if you read further it says some of the cooking spray may cause the plate to be sticky because of an ingredient some cooking spray have. Lecithin. So in conclusion the best thing to use according to that manual is vegetable oil with a soft brush.
Some Features
Cuisinart waffle makers are usually known to be very simple to use and easy to clean. They come with a recipe manual and 3 year warranty.
And one cool thing that I have found is that by going on the Cuisinart websites you can browse and find other free waffle recipes. And of course it's not only limited to waffle specifically. You can find other kind of recipes as well. And you can also find and download, when they are available for the particular model, the instruction manual even before deciding on purchasing any one of these models. I know they have the manual for the round classic waffler maker and for the pizzelle press.
So in conclusion I will say that there are, like I said earlier, other good and well-known brands out there when it comes for kitchen appliances like waffle makers. And Cuisinart is standing among them as a leading brand.
